Glenfinnan Viaduct.

In another posting I commented on being drawn to landscapes featuring buildings.

As I rode down the Canyon this morning reflecting on that thought, I realized it was an incomplete statement.

What I am truly drawn to is landscapes that feature the creative spark of humankind. Buildings, yes, but also engineered structures, works of art, built environments. The defining quality is some level of esthetic aspiration

The hand of God is joined by the hand of Man, as Michelangelo might say.

The gift of humanness, the glory of the natural world--in this interplay I find ecstasy. I am moved to another level of consciousness.

Time. Stands. Still.
