The discovery of that class of brain cells dubbed mirror neurons, located in area F5 of the premotor cortex, has revealed the physiological basis of seeing the world from another person's point of view. That these neurons exist demonstrates clearly the interconnectedness of humans and other life forms, allowing us to experience the world as others do, through feeling rather than through thinking.
